About Fourth Street School

Chris Jones


Chris is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He is the clinical director for The LifeWorks Group, a private practice in uptown Dallas. Chris received a Bachelors and Masters Degree in psychology from Baylor University. His primary counseling focus is families. This includes parents and / or their teenagers with adjustment disorder, anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder, substance abuse, sexual abuse and ADHD. He also works with couples, persons on probation or parole, and those with more severe mental illness such as major depression, and bipolar disorder.



Before LifeWorks Counseling, Chris worked in area psychiatric hospitals, community outreach centers and a probation department. In 1997, Chris cofounded Adventures In Achievement, Inc. Chris directed company growth as its ROPES Course and experiential workshops became a major provider to student groups and at-risk youth. During the year of 2006, his efforts merged with Excelleration, LLC to become a southwest states leader of corporate leadership training.



Chris has a knack for designing and facilitating customized personal growth groups. His natural skill at facilitating group discussions enables people to talk honestly, take ownership, and identify more useful actions. Chris can direct individuals and families, towards improved decision-making, leadership, mood stability, and goal attainment.



If you can't find Chris in the office or on the ROPES course he is likely off running a marathon, cycling or keeping a seat warm at Texas Motor Speedway. He can be reached regardless of where he is, at (817) 821-1118.
